How Designer Delivery Solutions Found Their Own Ideal Interior Space

Designer Delivery Solutions receives, stores and ships inventory for local designers that don’t have their own facilities to accommodate commercial freight.

Jem McGahey had this great idea for a new business – all he needed was the right space to launch it. McGahey remembers, “I saw this sign for Bell Properties and called them up and said, ‘Hey, I need space.’ They immediately started working with me.”

“An economical, centralized location was essential,” says McGahey. He adds, “If you Google Memphis, then zoom in on the map, I’m almost right in the center. It’s the perfect location.”

But the location is only half of the story. “They’re more like a partner. I can’t speak highly enough of these guys. If anything needs fixing, Wallace Bell is right there. And if I need extra space on short notice, Bill Bell always works it out for me,” says McGahey.

Over the last five years, Designer Delivery Solutions has grown from a one-bay, one-truck operation to a thriving business with six trucks, ten bays, and ten employees.

McGahey concludes, “I could not have done this without Bill and Wallace Bell. I kinda choke up when I think about it.”
